9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Swim for the Future swim meet & scholarship presentation

The Swim for the Future swim meet and scholarship presentation will take place at 5:30pm on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the AquaCenter on the Upper East Side.
Doors will open at 5:30pm; the scholarship presentation will be held at 6:00pm; the swim meet runs from 6:20pm to 8:30pm.
The meet is open to competent swimmers who will compete in four individual events (50 yards each in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle), as well as one medley relay.

Swim for the Future honors Doug Irgang, 32, of Sandler O’Neill and Andrew Fisher, 42 of Imagine Software, both of whom were killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Both men were members of the Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics (AGUA) Masters swim team. Funds raised provide talented swimmers from the team with scholarships so that they can afford to continue their swimming careers. One recipient won a bronze medal in the 2012 Olympics.
