9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Deadline to apply to run the NYC Marathon for Martin Richards

The Martin W. Richard Charitable Foundation, which honors the 8-year-old boy murdered in the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, is looking for runners to run the New York City Marathon with their Team MR8.
Martin Richard was the youngest victim of the 2013 attack. The 102-member team named for him raised more than a million dollars for the Foundation at this year’s Boston Marathon.
They have 8 entries from the New York Road Runners for the 2014 New York City Marathon on November 2, 2014. Any runner already registered for the NYC Marathon may apply to run for Martin. Runners taking one of the 8 spaces will be asked to raise $3,000 for Team MR8. Runners who already registered on their own and wish to run as part of Team MR8 will be asked to raise $1,000.
Applications are being accepted at Martin’s website until July 28, 2014. Runners will be announced early in August.
