9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Stem cell drive for FF Jimmy Martinez

FF Jimmy Martinez of the FDNY needs a stem cell transplant. His World Trade Center-related multiple myeloma has outlasted 5 rounds of chemotherapy.
There will be a bone marrow donor drive for FF Martinez at Hopkins Hall of Our Lady Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church on Staten Island on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 8:00am to 2:00pm.
Potential donors need a 5-minute visit, involving a cheek swab to see if they match someone in need of a transplant. The drive is run by Delete Blood Cancer.
If a match is identified, the potential donor will be contacted and given a choice about donating – donations can be made either via peripheral blood stem cell donation or marrow donation.
