9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Brooke Jackman Race for Literacy

The ninth annual Brooke Jackman Race for Literacy will take place on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Oyster Bay, New York. The event is a 5-K run/walk with a kids’ Fun Run and crafts. Registration begins at 8:30am. Crafts for kids begin at 9:15am. The ¼ Mile Fun Run for Future Olympians, aged 8 and under starts at 9:45am. The adults’ run begins at 10:15am.
The cost for the 5-K Run/Walk (if pre-registered by May 16, 2014) is $20.00. To register on race day costs $25.00. Registration for students under age 18 costs $10.00. To register, please visit the website. All proceeds benefit the Brooke Jackman Foundation, which honors Brooke’s memory by helping children in need. Sponsorships are still available. All entrants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and a water bottle.
To check in on race day, please pick up your numbers, shirts and chips at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School from 8:30am to 10:00am only. Absolutely no pick-ups after 10:00am will be allowed.
