FDNY Trident Ride
March 19, 2014 - April 5, 2014
From Wednesday, March 19, 2014 to Saturday, April 5, 2014, five FDNY firefighters from Engine 9/Ladder 6 will ride their bicycles 1,400 miles in 18 days from the former World Trade Center to the Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, VA to the National Navy SEAL Museum in Florida.
They are bringing the Museum a piece of steel from the World Trade Center, and riding to honor the military in general and Navy SEALs in particular for all their sacrifices. As the firefighters of the FDNY know what it is to lose brothers in the line of duty, the kinship between the two groups is strong.
