9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Remember Me Run

With St. Michael’s Cemetery, the Christopher Santora Educational Scholarship is sponsoring a memorial 5-K race to raise funds to give scholarships to the children of those who have died of illnesses from their work and dedication at the World Trade Center recovery efforts.
The Remember Me Run will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Astoria Park in Astoria NY and will end at St. Michael’s Cemetery for a memorial remembrance of those who died on 9/11 and those who have died since.
The Remember Me Run will benefit the children of those recovery workers – more than 1,000 of them — who have died as a result of illnesses contracted from working during the rescue and recovery effort at the site of the World Trade Center. The Run is a project of the Christopher A. Santora Educational Scholarship Fund. Christopher A. Santora was an FDNY firefighter who gave his life on September 11, 2001.
Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2:00pm. Registration begins at 10:00am.
Participants’ fee: $25.00; children aged 10 and under run for free. Please make checks payable to the Christopher Santora Scholarship Fund, with Remember Me Run in the memo section.
Refreshments will be provided after the run.
