Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Hurricane Sandy Children’s Coat Giveaway
November 21, 2013 @ 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
On Thursday, November 21, 2013, from 11:00am to 3:00pm, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Kars4Kids will give away at least 2,000 coats to children affected by Hurricane Sandy at the Tunnel to Towers Relief Center on Staten Island.
There will be a variety of coat colors and sizes from youth small up to youth extra large so that all the children who come will get a new coat in their desired color in a size that fits.
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation was started by the family of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller, who was killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Among other tasks, Stephen’s foundation builds “smart” homes for severely wounded military members and is one of the major Hurricane Sandy relief charities in the city.
Kars4Kids provides services to children and families including educational programming, school placement, tuition assistance, cultural activities, religious instruction, and guidance counseling.
