9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Kristallnacht survivor to speak

This month will mark the 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass, November 9-10, 1938, when Nazis destroyed, burned and vandalized thousands of synagogues, Jewish homes and businesses.
Kristallnacht survivor Ilie Wacs, who was 11 at the time, is an artist whose work about that act of terrorism, A Gathering Storm: The Vienna Papers, 1938, will be on display at the Museum of Tolerance in New York through December 6, 2013.
He and his sister, Deborah Strobin will speak at 6:30pm on Thursday, November 7, 2013 about their new book, An Uncommon Journey: From Vienna to Shanghai to America–A Brother and Sister Escape to Freedom During World War II, on their escape from Austria to Shanghai at the Museum.
