9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Spirit of America Blood Drive

Michigan International Speedway and Michigan Blood will host their annual Spirit of America blood drive in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks of 2001 from 7:00am to 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the speedway.
All blood donors will receive a Spirit of America gift bag, lunch in the Champions Club and a tour of the racetrack, including the flag display at Unity Field and Home of the Brave, a multi-media exhibit about the terrorist attacks.
The Unity Field flags, one for each of the 2,973 victims of the attacks, were placed by local veterans. Unity Field is open to the public and is located in the speedway’s Lot 10.
Only blood donors with scheduled appointments will receive the lunch, tour and gift bag. All blood donations are made through appointment. To make an appointment, please click here or here. Appointments are limited to 600 guests. Appointments are also available by calling 1-866-miblood (642-5663). New donors are welcome. Donors may bring one non-donating person with them.
Commemorative events will begin at 7:00am and will conclude at 3:00pm.
Since its inception in 2002, the blood drive in honor of those murdered on September 11, 2001 has collected more than 8,876 pints of blood, which could save more than 26,688 lives.
