Dedication of mobile 9/11 Memorial Museum, NC
September 11, 2013 @ 9:55 am - 11:00 am
At 9:59am on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, the 12th anniversary of the moment WTC 2 collapsed, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the mobile 9/11 Memorial Museum at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
The mobile museum, a large trailer with artifacts donated by FDNY firehouses, will be hosted by the Airborne & Special Operations Museum on Wednesday and Thursday, September 11 and 12, 2013 and at Festival Park on Friday, September 13. Once the museum leaves Fayetteville, it will travel throughout the country.
The 9/11 Memorial Museum is being organized by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which has partnered with the Gary Sinise Foundation to build high-tech, custom-made homes for severely wounded military personnel, two of whom, triple amputees Army Master Sgt. John Masson and Marine Staff Sgt. Thomas McRae, live near Fayetteville. Fundraising for both their “smart” houses is in progress.
