Brooke Jackman Foundation Read-a-thon
September 7, 2013 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
On Saturday, September 7, 2013, from 12:00pm to 1:30pm, the Brooke Jackman Foundation will host their fourth Annual Brooke Jackman Foundation Read-a-thon to help make the magic of literacy and the love of books a reality for disadvantaged children in New York. The Read-a-thon will be held at Barnes & Noble Tribeca in Manhattan.
This year, the Read-a-thon will focus on the theme of helping, and BJF will unveil a new book, ABC What Help Means to Me, the second annual BJF compilation book from children of the Foundation’s programs, inspired by the outpouring of support witnessed in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
The free, public annual Read-a-thon is one of BJF’s most important events and offers the opportunity for families from all over New  York to celebrate the positive, transformative power of literacy.
Last year, Rosie Perez and New York Fire Commissioner Salvatore Cassano were among the readers. Stay tuned for more information about this year’s participants.
