National Day of Service and Remembrance projects nationwide
September 11, 2013
The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance is organized the in honor of the victims and in tribute to the first responders, recovery workers, and members of the military who rose in service in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Today more than 35 million Americans make time to help others in acknowledgement of the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance.
This year, September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance will be hosting six special volunteer service projects for both 9/11 families and members of the public. Projects are scheduled in Washington DC (9/7), St. Louis (9/7), New York City (9/9), Phoenix (9/11), Boston (9/11), and Dallas (9/11).
If you would like to participate in one of these special projects this year, or wish to explore opportunities in other communities, please visit the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance website.
