Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Air Mobility Command Museum’s September 11th Memorial ground-breaking

There will be a small ground-breaking ceremony for the Air Mobility Command Museum’s September 11th Memorial on Thursday, August 15, 2013. The time will be announced soon.
The memorial will consist of two large beams from the 81st floor of One World Trade Center (the North Tower). To honor the terrorist victims from the Pentagon, Flight 77 and Flight 93, a large rock from the crash site of United Flight 93 and a brick pathway leading to a pentagon-shaped plaque in honor of those murdered at the Pentagon and on American Airlines Flight 77 that struck the Pentagon will be installed. The memorial’s shape points towards New York City.
The Memorial’s dedication ceremony will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the Air Mobility Command Museum.
