9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Intrepid Hosts FDNY Weekend and ‘Battle of the Bands’

On Saturday, July 20, 2013 & Sunday, July 21, 2013 the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum will honor members of the FDNY by hosting their annual FDNY Appreciation Weekend.
Activities will be taking place on both days, including the “FDNY Battle of the Bands.” Six bands will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. The criteria is that one member of the band must be an active or retired member of the FDNY — Fire or EMS. Each band will play a 20-30 minute set. Bands should arrive between 10:00am and 11:00am.
