Shannon Adams Pig in the Park Extravaganza
August 24, 2013 @ 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Shannon Adams Memorial Golf Outing has been changed to an annual family pig roast as so many of Shannon’s friends now have families who want to join in the celebration of Shannon’s life.
The event will take place from 1:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Ellison Park in Rochester.
On the menu is a pig roast with beans, corn and sides. There will be hot dogs for the children and cold beers for the grown-ups. There will also be a cornhole tournament.
The cost to attend is $30.00 per adult. Children may come for free. All proceeds will benefit the Shannon Adams Memorial Scholarship at SUNY Brockport. Pets are welcome. This will be a fun day for the whole family.
Shannon Adams was a small town boy enjoying city life. He was 25 and working as a fixed income accountant at Cantor Fitzgerald when he was killed in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.
