9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Planned explosion on Governor’s Island

A building on Governor’s Island will be imploded by 250 pounds of explosives at 7:37am on Sunday, June 9, 2013. This is just a friendly warning to our downtown residents who may be affected by the noise.
