Anne Frank sapling planting for Boston bombing victims
June 4, 2013 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
FreeOn Tuesday, June 4 at 11:30am, the Anne Frank Center USA cordially invites you to the unveiling of the Anne Frank chestnut tree on Boston Common.
The sapling comes from the nearly 200-year-old horse chestnut tree that towered behind Anne’s Secret Annex.
A display of children’s artwork inspired by Anne’s tree will accompany the unveiling.
Through their Sapling Project, The Anne Frank Center USA seeks to memorialize incidences of intolerance and discrimination at sites across the United States, in order to tell the story of surmounting discrimination.
