9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The annual PurpleStride® New York City 2015 5-K Run and Family-Friendly Walk will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Brooklyn’s famed Prospect Park.Pancreatic cancer is the fourth deadliest cancer in the US and is set to become the second deadliest by 2020. The fifth annual Mark Ellis Memorial Walk will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Farmingdale State College. The walk honors P.O. Mark Ellis of the NYPD, who was killed at the World Trade Center during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Registration for the walk begins at 9:00am, and the walk itself starts at 10:00am.
