Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. This year’s Red Bandanna Run will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2014 on the campus of Boston College. The Red Bandanna Run honors Welles Remy Crowther, who has earned the nickname “the man in the red bandanna”. He was 24 and a broker from Sandler O’Neill & Partners who wore a red bandanna over his mouth as he saved lives during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center. Support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and have a day of fun for the whole family at Baldwin Park on Saturday, October 25, 2014. The day begins with the half-mile kids fun run at 9:00am. The fee to run is $10.00. The 5-K run/walk for adults begins at 9:30am with a $20.00 fee to participate.
