Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Twelve educational awards worth $500.00 each are available through the New York Firefighters’ Burn Center Foundation in the honor and memory of FF Michael Kiefer, who was killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. The 15th annual Joseph R. Riverso Memorial Golf Outing, to honor “Big Joe” #70, will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Dunwoodie Golf Club in Yonkers, NY. The day will begin at 11:30am with registration, use of the driving and chipping ranges and a barbeque. The shotgun start will be at 1:00pm sharp. The 10th annual Gregg Reidy Classic Memorial Basketball Tournament will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Kennedy Gymnasium of Manhattanville College. At 9:00am, female and male over-30s will play; at 11:00am, male under-30s will play. Tournament games will continue throughout the day and will be followed by the party. On Sunday, May 17, 2015, the FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation will host their first Tower Climb in the new One World Trade Center. Participants will climb to the 90th floor of 1 WTC. Virtual Climbers will take the elevator to the 64th floor and join the party there or can participate entirely online.
