Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Ethical Culture Society of Westchester will screen the documentary In Our Son’s Name on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:30pm at their center in White Plains. In Our Son’s Name tells the story of the Rodríguez family. Orlando and Phyllis Rodríguez lost their son Greg in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. This year’s FF John G. Chipura Blood Drive will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Our Lady Help of Christians Gymnasium on Staten Island. John Chipura, a retired Marine, former NYPD officer and survivor of the Beirut Marine base terrorist attack, was killed in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center while working for FDNY’s Engine 219. The annual Keith D. McHeffey Run, scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Rumson NJ has been cancelled. The 2016 Run is being planned. Keith D. McHeffey was 31 and working for Cantor Fitzgerald when he was murdered by terrorists on September 11, 2001. The 14th annual FF Michael J. Cawley Memorial Fund party will take place from 3:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh.
