Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The 9/11 Tribute Center is very proud that our own volunteer Jim Giaccone is one of four finalists for the NASCAR Foundation’s Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award for the work he has done as a volunteer mentor with our good friends at Tuesday’s Children. The annual Back in the Day with Mike doo wop fundraiser for the FF Michael Kiefer Memorial Fund will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at the Plattdeutsch Biergarten in Floral Park. Admission costs $40.00 in advance, which includes 10 raffle tickets. Admission on the day costs $50.00. Youth aged 6 to 20 pay $20.00; children under 6 enter free.
