9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Retired FDNY Lt. Gary Howard in Need of Blood/Platelets

Retired FDNY Lt. Gary Howard has serious issues with swallowing and spent this last summer undergoing chemotherapy and radiation at Sloan Kettering for oropharyngeal (mouth) cancer. Unfortunately, after treatments he is now back in Sloan and in need of blood transfusions. Gary was appointed to Squad 3 in 1970, transferred to Engine 28, Ladder 108, and finally Rescue 2 before his promotion to lieutenant.
