The Hudson River Swim for Life will take place on Sunday, September 29, 2013. The event raises funds for charities in the community. Proceeds of this year’s Swim for Life will help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Blood cancers are rampant among World Trade Center recovery workers and survivors. This year’s Tunnel to Towers Run will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 9:30am. The starting point is Ikea Parking Lot 9 in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The route follows Stephen’s footsteps through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and on to the site of the World Trade Center. At the finish line, there is music, food, and children’s activities.
