American flags bearing the name of all of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks will be on display at Omaha’s Memorial Park from Friday, September 6, 2013 to Sunday, September 15, 2013.
Each flag will include the person’s name, age, and place where they were killed along with a short biography. Flags of those victims who have a connection to Nebraska connection are placed in a special circle with additional information for the ten Nebraska families who lost someone in the attacks.
This event is organized by Lynn Castrianno in memory of her brother, Leonard Castrianno, who was killed at Cantor Fitzgerald at the age of 30.
The Irvington Fire Department will display a steel beam artifact from Tower 1 of the World Trade Center each evening of the display.
