9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Meaford Fire Department to Unveil 9-11 Memorial, Ontario, Canada

The official unveiling of the 9-11 Firefighters’ Memorial will take place at the Meaford and District Fire Department Fire Hall on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 7:00pm. All are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
The Memorial contains a steel beam from the World Trade Centre. The steel is nearly 20 feet in length and weighs approximately one tonne.
The Meaford Fire Department is one of only six fire departments in Canada to receive steel.
