Hold the Door for Others 5-K Run/Walk Fundraiser
September 13, 2014 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Hold the Door for Others will host its second annual Hold the Door 5-K run/walk fundraiser on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in Rockland Lake State Park. Registration will begin at 9:00am, with the run/walk at 10:00am. There will be staggered starting times for runners, walkers and families.
Hold the Door for Others honors Ron Fazio, who gave his life holding the door at Aon atop Tower 2 of the World Trade Center, allowing his colleagues to escape. Annually in the fall, Hold the Door for Others hosts Hold the Door Day. The event is dedicated to empowering people to grow through loss or adversity.
Pre-registration costs $30.00 per adult. To pre-register, please click here. The registration closing date will be Friday, September 12, 2014. Registering on the day of the run will cost $35.00 per adult. Participants aged 12 and under may run for free, though donations are appreciated. Proceeds of the Hold the Door 5-K will support this year’s Hold the Door Day.
The registration fee includes parking fees. You’ll receive a parking voucher via email when you register. Please print it and bring it with you on race day.
Participants are encouraged (but not required) to dedicate their run or walk to someone special.
