Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for FDNY Lt. Gordon (Matt) Ambelas, LODD

The funeral for FDNY Lt. Gordon (Matt) Ambelas, who was killed in a burning high-rise building on July 5, 2014, will be held at St. Clare’s Church in Staten Island at 11:00am on Thursday, July 10, 2014.
Lt. Ambelas is survived by his wife, Nanette; and two daughters, Gina, 5, and Gaby, 7. The FDNY has set up a fund for the girls’ education. They are accepting donations at their 9 MetroTech Center headquarters. Checks should be made out to the “Ambelas Children’s Education Fund.”
