9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The West Islip Chamber of Commerce is hosting a rescheduled dedication ceremony for their new 9/11 Memorial on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at at 9:00am. The original date for the dedication was changed after Hurricane Sandy.

The ceremony will take place at the September 11th memorial, which is on the corner of Higbie Lane and Paumanake Avenue. Steel from a tower of the World Trade Center forms the heart of the memorial, which remembers the local residents who were murdered by terrorists on September 11, 2001.

All attendees are invited to a breakfast after the ceremony. Please park at Boyd Spencer Funeral Home.
