9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Captain Gerald F. DeConto, USN, Memorial Scholarship 5-K

The 11th annual Captain Gerald F. DeConto Memorial Scholarship 5-K will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2012. The day’s events begin with a brief memorial tribute at 9:00am at Russell’s Corner (corner of Rte. 6A and Jarvis Street) in Sandwich, MA.
The entry fee to run is $20.00 for those over 18; $15.00 for those under 18. Proceeds go toward the scholarship in Jerry’s name.
Captain DeConto, known as Jerry, was in charge of the Navy Command Center in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. He was 44.
