The Brighton, Michigan Fire Department will host a 9/11 Memorial 5-K to raise funds for the Brighton September 11th Memorial. Runners, walkers and virtual runners may participate.
Check-in opens at 8:00am; the runners’ start time is 9:00am. Walkers’ start time is 9:05am.
The Run/Walk starts at the Mill Pond on Main Street, and finishes at the 9/11 Memorial at the Brighton Fire Station on Grand River Avenue, where, after the Run/Walk, a celebration will be held.
The fee to participate is $25.00 registration after $15.00 instant savings. The fundraising goal is to raise the $20,000 still needed to complete the monument by adding the names of the victims of the attacks.
