Retired FDNY Lt. Walter F. Malone has been honored with the renaming of a street after him. Calvert Avenue and Sheldon Place, where Lt. Malone lived for many years, has been renamed “Lt. Walter F. Malone Way.”
Lt. Malone died of site-related illness in August 2017, reports Jasmine Fernandez of Newsday.
