“Staten Island Remembers” ceremony honors fallen police officers

Families of NYPD officers who have died of  World Trade Center-related illnesses or in the line of duty joined officers in a ceremony at the 121 Precinct.

“In the NYPD, we make a promise to never forget — to never forget our fallen officers. And never really means never. We remember forever,” Assistant Chief Kenneth Corey told the attendees, reported Annalise Knudson for the Staten Island Advance.

The precinct plans a memorial garden which will be completed by next year’s ceremony.
