Reporter’s video helps 9/11 victim receive compensation

New York City Police Detective Paul Federico helped World Trade Center volunteer Michael Dorian prove he was at the site of the World Trade Center so that he could get medical care for his rare skin cancer with help from the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund.

Dorian recalled having been interviewed by a television reporter. Detective Federico tracked down reporter Walter Perez (who reported this story for WPVI) and Perez was able to find the footage showing Dorian. Dorian is now covered by the fund.
