Currently teaching at John Jay College\, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the International Centre for Counter-Terrorism\, in The Hague\, in 2012. He was formerly a fellow at the Open Society Foundations\, and editor of the journal Race & Class. His articles have appeared in the journals Security and Human Rights\, European Journal of Cultural Studies\, Race & Class\, and Critical Muslim. He has also written for the Guardian\, the Nation\, and CNN.com. His next book\, The Muslims are Coming!
