Commemoration of the February 26, 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center

February 26, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The annual commemoration of the February 26, 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center will be held at the northwest corner of the National 9/11 Memorial, near panel N-73, where the names of the seven people killed are listed. This year marks the 28th anniversary of the attack.

The ceremony will begin at 12:15pm on Friday, February 26, 2021. A moment of silence for John DiGiovanni, Robert Kirkpatrick, Stephen Knapp, William Macko, Wilfredo Mercado, Monica Rodriguez Smith and her unborn child will be held at 12:18, the moment the bomb exploded.

The ceremony is not open to the public.

We have not seen plans to make the ceremony virtual. If we do, details will be posted.
