9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Battle of the Badges – NYPD/FDNY Boxing

On Friday, November 20, 2015, the 33rd annual ‘Battle of the Badges’ FDNY/NYPD boxing tournament will be held at Madison Square Garden. Doors open at 7:00pm. Security will be very tight — please arrive early to accomodate.
As in years past, both the NYPD and the FDNY will donate the funds they raise to good causes. The FDNY donates the money raised to a veteran with severe combat injuries. This year’s money will help build a mortgage-free, handicap-accessible home for USMC Gunnery Sgt. Christoper Claude, who suffered an above-the-knee leg amputation, extensive nerve damage and a traumatic brain injury from his service.
