Daffodil Project spreads millions of flowers in remembrance of 9/11

Those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 are remembered by the annual planting of hundreds of pounds of daffodil bulbs across the city, reports the Bronx News.

New Yorkers for Parks run the Daffodil Project and have given out 7,000,000 daffodil bulbs since the attacks. Forty thousand bulbs were planted this Saturday in the Bronx. This year there is a waiting list for bulbs.
