Abington Massachusett’s Woodsdale School rededicates 9/11 memorial

A stained glass window honoring Jeffrey Coombs of Abingdon, MA has been reinstalled at the Woodsdale School after languishing in storage for several years, reports Tom Gorman in the Patriot Ledger.

The window, which reads “Liberty and Justice for All” in red with a border of stars, was made by students at the school shortly after the terrorist attacks that killed Mr. Coombs, who was a passenger aboard American Airlines Flight 11. When new windows were installed at the school, a few years after its installation, the tribute was removed and put into storage, where it faded.

The school’s student council decided to bring it back, and it was dedicated on June 9, 2017, in the presence of Jeff Coombs’ widow, Christie Coombs.
