« 9/11 rescue dog celebrates her Sweet 16

The final living courageous canine that risked her life during Sept. 11 was treated to a special Sweet 16 party in the Big Apple. Bretagne, who was deployed as a search and rescue dog at Ground Zero 14 years ago, was flown to the city Aug. 21 with her caretaker Denise Corliss for a weekend of fun. The duo was wined and dined all over the city — getting their own suite at 1 Hotel overlooking Central Park, receiving a doggie “Key to the City” and even reuniting with her fellow canine crew of the Texas Task Force 1. Trying to get an interview with Denise now. Photo credit: BarkPost
