4 men convicted in 1993 WTC bombing have had sentences cut

More than 20 years after going to prison for their crimes, some of the terrorists responsible for the 1993 World Trade Center bombing that killed six adults and an unborn child are still attempting to lessen their life sentences, reports Larry Neumeister for the Associated Press.

The original sentences were determined by sentencing judge Kevin Duffy who calculated the life expectancies of each of the victims of the bombing (180 years) and added 30 years to each sentence on two other counts. Judge Duffy died of COVID-19 in 2020.
