Staten Islanders who lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks seventeen years ago gathered for the annual Angels’ Circle 9/11 memorial on the rainy evening of September 10, 2018.
Eric Nunez’s brother, Brian Nunez, was killed in the attacks and he told Staten Island Advance reporter Joseph Ostapiuk, “When it happened, there wasn’t any place to go. It started out as just a piece of land, just people putting pictures and flowers. I come here every year. We always come here, and we always will come here.
