Terry Farm crew recalls 9/11, won’t return to re-opened NYC farmers market

Nelly Davoren and Billy Halsey  worked at the World Trade Center Greenmarket at a stand from Terry Farms. Both survived the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and neither will return to the new Greenmarket at the site, reports Kelly Zegers of the Suffolk Times.

The Terry Farms now sells their produce at locations throughout Long Island.

“‘Good for them, but they won’t see me there,’ Ms. Davoren said, of the market’s return.”
