Son of Ray Pfeifer, beloved 9/11 hero, among FDNY’s 311 academy graduates

Terence Pfeifer, son of beloved FDNY Firefighter Ray Pfeifer, became an FDNY firefighter this week, report Edgar Sandoval and Thomas Tracy for the New York Daily News.

Ray Pfeifer died of World Trade Center-related kidney cancer last year, and worked tirelessly despite his illness to renew health benefits for those sick from the site.

Christopher Froehlich also followed his father into the FDNY. Retired Firefighter George Froehlich also died of site-related cancer just weeks ago.
