Private sale of Mike Piazza 9/11 jersey could lead to public display

Christian Red, Michael O’Keeffe wrote in the New York Daily News that the founder Goldin Auctions  has offered to change Piazza’s September, 2001 21 jersey auction to a private sale, but only if the buyer promises to display the historic jersey at the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum in lower Manhattan, the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown or the Mets Museum at Citi Field.

All of the museums he mentions are interested in displaying the jersey.
