Parks leader provides update on Flight 93’s final project

The Flight 93 National Memorial in Stonycreek Township will soon be completed when its final part, the Tower of Voices, is dedicated on September 9, 2018, reports Dylan Johnson of the Daily American.

Tower of Voices is a 93-foot high wind chime with 40 individual chimes, one for each voice stilled aboard United Flight 93 during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Families of those killed aboard the plane will attend the 5,000-person ceremony.

Construction is on schedule.
