Only church destroyed on 9/11 raises cross atop new building

On Monday, St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, the only church destroyed in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001, held a topping-out ceremony at the site of the new St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox National Shrine and raised a cross atop the new structure, reported Chris Perez in the New York Post.

Archbishop Demetrios blessed the cross with holy water and water from the National September 11 Memorial pools.
