Golf Outing, City Proclamation Honor Local Fallen 9/11 Hero

The city officially named the day after Father’s Day as “Carl V. Bini Day,” in honor of a local fallen September 11th hero who was a firefighter with Rescue Company 5 in Concord. On Monday, nearly 200 Staten Islanders celebrated the proclamation at the Bini Fund’s 9th annual golf outing in Rossville.

On Monday, nearly 200 Staten Islanders celebrated the proclamation at the Bini Fund’s 9th annual golf outing in Rossville. All the proceeds from the golf outing will go toward scholarships and hurricane relief.
