9/11 Families United For Justice Against Terrorism

Dear Families, Survivors and Friends

Thanks to our all our efforts in 2013, we have made considerable progress with JASTA, but there is more work to be done. In order to get JASTA passed and into law, we have two very important tasks ahead of us:

(1) We must resume our campaign to enroll House members as co-sponsors of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism bill H.R. 3143 (JASTA). [Note: to read JASTA, click here.] This is critical. Please call your Representative(s) as soon as possible, ask for their aide and if he or she is not available – leave a message asking for that member to become a JASTA co-sponsor. You can be directly connected to your reps by calling 202-225-3121 and they will connect you to your representatives’ office(s) or you can get their phone numbers, if you prefer.

(2) Also very important: please ask your Representatives to co-sponsor Reps. Walter Jones and Stephen Lynch’s House Resolution 428 – to declassify the 28 pages. Simply call the number above for that as well. Ask for both in the same call. Here is a link to one of the articles about the resolution. Please post it on Facebook or any other site with a call to action and Tweet it if you use Twitter.

This should not take more than 5 minutes of your time but will make a huge difference. If we do not keep up the pressure – Congress will do nothing. It is up to us, “the people”, to get their support. It is our job.

Thank you so much for everything you are doing or have done. Now, in 2014 – All of us must pull together and finish the job! We must ramp up our own campaign to get more so-sponsors, drive JASTA through both Judiciary Committees to a vote – and finally get the 28 pages declassified.

We wish you a happy and healthy 2014. Thank you again for your support.
