FDNY EMS lieutenant, Edith Torres, who helped September 11 victims while off-duty, dies of 9/11-linked cervical cancer

FDNY EMS Lt. Edith Torres, 46, has died of World Trade Center-related cervical cancer. Her partner, Carlos Lillo, was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, report Thomas Tracy  and John Annese in the New York Daily News.
