Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Those who wish to attend the Boston Marathon on April 21, 2014 are being asked to follow certain safety rules this year. Spectators entering viewing areas may be asked to pass through security checkpoints. Those already inside viewing areas may be asked to open their bags by police or security personnel.
