Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. On Friday, September 9, 2016 beginning at 9:00am, you are invited to join the New York Committee for Occupational Health (NYCOSH) and Mount Sinai Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health (MSSCOH) at a conference to address the future of 9/11 health. The NYPD will hold a parade in honor of the 23 NYPD officers lost during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and the 99 who have died of site-related illnesses afterwards. The ceremony to remember the John Jay students and alumni killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the 9/11 Memorial at the east end of the New Building Student Dining Hall. Sixty-eight students will each place a lighted candle at the base of the 9/11 Memorial in honor of the 68 students and alumni of John Jay who were murdered on 9/11. The annual Alicia Titus Memorial Run for Peace will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016. The 5-K run and 1-mile walk will begin at 9:00am at the Urbana University Student Center. Participants will proceed through Monument Square and Freedom Grove before the run/walk ends at the student center. The annual Walk with Joe will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at 10:00am in Monmouth Battlefield State Park in Manalapan, NJ. Registration begins at 8:30am.
