Spectators entering viewing areas may be asked to pass through security checkpoints. Those already inside viewing areas may be asked to open their bags by police or security personnel. At 1:30pm on April 24, 2014, Edmonds firefighter David Erickson will speak about the 9/11 memorial planned for Edmonds at the Friends of the Edmonds Library meeting. Admission is free. The centerpiece of the memorial will be a 1-ton steel beam from the former World Trade Center.
