Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The NYPD football team will play the PO Omar Edwards Memorial Football Game on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 7:00pm. The location will be announced soon. The NYPD Finest will play the NY Corrections Dept. – NY’s Boldest. Tickets cost $10.00 for each adult; children attend for free. Tickets will be available at the game. The Joseph Doyle Memorial Scholarship Fund and St. Joseph by the Sea Baseball are hosting a day of baseball to remember Joey Doyle, 25, a former player at St. Joseph by the Sea who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 while working for Cantor Fitzgerald atop the North Tower of the World Trade Center. FF Joseph "Toolie" O'Toole (ret.) of 41 Truck was a beloved member of the FDNY and one of the hand-picked “ATV guys” at the recovery operation. We lost Toolie in December from World Trade Center-related bile duct cancer at the age of 61.
